Disciple Rhea Ramesh

Rhea Ramesh has been a disciple of Smt. Daya Ravi since the age of five. Over the years, she has developed a deep passion for Bharatanatyam while training in both the practical and theoretical aspects of the art form. Under her guru's guidance, she has learned a diverse repertoire of traditional Bharatanatyam pieces and has had the privilege of performing at numerous cultural events, temple celebrations, and community programs. Through dance, Rhea has cultivated discipline, perseverance, and a profound appreciation for Indian culture and classical arts.

Beyond dance, Rhea is an active leader and dedicated community volunteer. She serves as the Assistant Secretary and Timekeeper for the Frederick County Youth Council, where she collaborates on initiatives that empower youth and strengthen community engagement. She is also a volunteer at Frederick Health Hospital, assisting patients, supporting nurses, and contributing to the daily operations of the hospital. Passionate about STEM education, Rhea has spent several years mentoring younger students through FIRST LEGO League and has taught robotics and science through the USTEMM nonprofit organization. She has also participated in Orchestra, Chorus, Classical Carnatic Music, Violin and Bhagavad Gita chanting, while earning recognition in academic and vocabulary competitions.

Rhea plans to pursue undergraduate studies in Psychology and Public Health before attending law school to become an attorney. She hopes to combine her passion for advocacy, healthcare, and service to improve patient rights and make a meaningful impact in her community. She expresses her heartfelt gratitude to her guru, family, and well-wishers for their unwavering encouragement and support throughout her Bharatanatyam journey.
